Week 5

Somehow I got off a week. I have just finished week 5 so thats what I am going to report on. Made it the whole 21 alloted miles, although I am still having trouble incorporating weights into my weekly regimen. I am not too worried, however, since running is the most inportant thing I need to be consistent on right now. I ran the longest I have ever run all by my lonesome on Saturday. 10 whole miles. I did fine till my eighth mile, and then my legs started getting shaky. So I stopped by the 7-11 and got me a gatorade. It made all the difference in the world. When I actually finished, I think I could have actually kept going! It was a fabulous run.
So, in effect, it was a great week! Again, my goal this week will be to incorporate a weight regimen. I also still need to get my body fat measured!!!! So much to do and so little time... Well, here I go, here I go, here...I...GO!

Week 3
Another successful week. I did really well on running and on eating better. I am so hungry all of the time, but I talked with my WW leader and she suggested that I focus on the Core program instead of counting points. I am able to eat all day, satisfying my hunger, and still lose weight!! I am not really wanting to lose anymore, just change from fat to lean muscle mass.
This week I wasnt focused so much on weights, just getting the running routine down. I am going to try to incorporate weights this week to help with my bodyfat/lean muscle ratio. Tera went and got her BF measured and it was a piddly 10%!!! I want to go get mine measured now, and again right before the marathon so I can see the difference 16 weeks of intense training can make. For someone who only used to run when something was chasing her, I am truly having fun!!

Later!
