hello all you sick freaks!

so the mel-mel has a new phrase. idk if i am the source, but.../sigh if i am.

yesterday he was sitting with the kids watching Superman Returns, when all of the sudden he said, "Wha-ka heck?" (translation: what the heck)

i was like...what did you say?! then he got embarrassed b/c i was laughing. it was funny tho! it sure is hard to teach your kids to do the right things when you laugh at them b/c they are so darn cute while learning the ropes.

incidentally, idk WHY he said it, which made it more funny as not only was he using a phrase you dont normally hear out of a 3 year old, but he was using it at totally the wrong time...ahhh, kids.

rofl baby...rofl

HAHA! so, i think i will make writing an annual event...apparently.

oh well, moving right along. my "baby" (who is 3.5 yrs old) learned a new phrase recently.
wha'eber! (translation: whatever) if you tell him that hes funny, or crazy, etc. he gets this mischievous look on his face ( you know, the one that says, "yeah, i know im cute!") and then he answers you with a simple little, wha'eber! its soo funny!

the mun-chi chi is training for her upcoming years as a babysitter. she watches melley when i take a nap or go for a jog around the block. she loves it and she is really showing her responsible side. just a few more years till shes ready, (and about 10 till i am!)

t-bone is still addicted to video games. ahhhh...weve trained him well! hubby just bought me a Wii so the bone and i are going to play today after school.

took my first Zoology test today...i cant wait until she posts the key online. i think i made an A, but i KNOW its not lower than a B. on the whole, its been a good semester!

i am also taking a modern dance class. its a lot of fun, now that we have all gotten used to being in spandex in front of each other! then the other day, on a very infrequent warm day for this time of year, the instructor announced that sometime soon she will be teaching our class outside on the lawn in the middle of campus.
/crickets chirping...(my class is right smack dab in the middle of the day. you know, when everybody and their dog are on campus; in between classes, eating on the lawn, studying...)
so then she asked if anyone was allergic to grass, and i raised my hand. she said, " you are?"
i replied, "no...but i AM allergic to being in spandex in public!" hey! i KNOW the whole class was thinking it!
so, now i am counting down the days till total humiliation. /sigh

TTYL and dont forget, when life hands you a lemon...say WHA'EBER!!!

Hello Everyone
I am sad that it has been so long since I have written. The marathon went wonderfully...for me anyways. I had a wonderful time with my aunt and uncle and absolutely loved running. I did it in 5 hours flat. My partner, however didn't have such a good experience. She had gall bladder attacks the whole 5 hours and I think that we would have gone faster if it weren't for that, but as I told her, it was a great experience for me, I just felt bad for her. She had to get on an IV the second she got done with the race and I didn't get to see her for awhile after that as I had to leave and find a place that had gluten free food for me to tank up on. I lost 5 pounds in 5 hours! My aunt, cousin and his wife took me to a Mexican restaurant right afterwards, it was awesome! The race was fun but not without its setbacks...one man had heart failure about 1/4 of a mile ahead of us and died on the road. It was kind of scary. I don't know if he trained or not, but you would be surprised at how many people try to run a marathon without training first. Its crazy!
Anyway, I want to run another one and had planned on doing the OKC Memorial one in April, but I am starting school this spring and I don't know if I can handle going to school, being a mom, being a wife, PTA, and training for a marathon. Gee...what do you think?!?!

Long Time No Talk!!

Ok! last week, I was walking out of my house...I know, walking...and I kicked a rock with my pinky toe on my left foot. I managed to keep from saying anything...regrettable, then got into my car and went to minor emergency. Luckily, it wasnt broken or fractured, but I had to keep off of it for a few days and wear an orthopedic boot till today. It has finally stopped hurting, although the nail is still a little bruised. Today will me my first day back running. I missed my 20 mile run. Tera said I did it on purpose. :( (kidding of course) I'm going to see if I can maybe squeeze it in before the marathon. My 12 miler was my first big challenge, and I was really looking forward to the 20 miler. It was going to be my last major challenge before the marathon. As if the marathon wasn't challenge enough!

Week 10

Last week was great! The week before last I had finally gotten my weight regimen incorporated. The only problems was, I had done it wrong. I had done my legs 2 days before I ran 16 miles. MAN was I in pain! But this week, I did my lower body earlier in the week and my upper on Wednesday. My run on Saturday went awesome. And even though I forgot my tunes, it was still a pleasant run. I am looking forward to this next week. I think instead of running 1 more week at 16, I will go to 18 so I will have 3 weeks at 18 instead of 2. I will have to research that idea though. Dont want to mess it up! I've also heard that hitting 20 miles is acceptable as well, so I may do 2 weeks at 18, then have my last week before tapering up to 20. I really am just spitballing here. If anyone has any comments on this, feel free to let me know!!

Later!
